Good To Go Ware was founded with a mission to reduce the massive amounts of single-use plastic clogging our landfills, waterways, highways, and forests. We believe that continuing to use the current quantities of non biodegradable plastic is unsustainable.
In our research, we discovered several promising early-stage companies making bioplastics out of renewable sources such as wheat, corn, sugarcane, and potatoes. There are many issues to consider when analyzing whether a product or
raw material is really "earth friendly" and this can be a daunting task
for a potential buyer. That's why we decided to start a business finding and selling the best such products to organizations, businesses, and individuals desiring to decrease their environmental impact.
Our priorities for sourcing products:
- Use suppliers that minimize use of petrochemicals and pesticides in the production of the plants used as raw materials.
- Maximize use of non genetically-modified feedstocks
- Minimize the carbon footprint of each product by sourcing and manufacturing locally where practical
- Push for fair trade and healthy work environments for workers
- Gain scale quickly in order to offer pricing that is competitive to traditional plastic
- Reliability: Going green may cost a little more but that should not mean compromising quality and reliability. We test our products to make sure they hold up to demanding environments.
